About Me

I grew up in Oxford and now live in Snowdonia. I’ve been doing editorial work for at least twenty years as a freelance, and ran Smaller Sky Books for eight of those. At the moment I’m working on a sea story, the mystery of the Welsh Marie Celeste. November 2019 update: I’ve recently finished helping Dr C of London on a long project producing the illustrated history of a French village from 1635-2002 and am now working on a maritime thriller set in the 1980s.

Technical stuff

Don’t have a digital copy of your work? I am familiar with on-screen or paper editing alike and I can arrange low-cost PDF scanning for you. With a Master’s Degree in computing and knowledge of most design packages, Photoshop and its equivalents, MS Office and open source similar, I’m fine with the “technical side” and have designed and now administer a number of websites. I’m equally happy with printed proof correction using the British Standard proofreading symbols.
